I got this one http://www.belloutdoors.com/product/244-hatsan-escort-platinum-tactical or something like it. MPA TS I think, the semi auto version.

Tons of fun, but I’d like to hunt with it. It doesn’t have a very long barrel and it’s full fixed cylinder but that thing at the end screws off. The threads are on the outside.

Option 1: get a 6 to 8” barrel extension that can thread on the existing threads with choke insert threading of some sort. Does it exist off the shelf somewhere or can it be made for less than the price of...

Option 2: are longer barrels with chokes available? Would a take off from another hatsan semi auto model work? Are the receivers the same? Where would I get just a barrel for hatsan?

Maybe contacting sfrc directly they carry these... I'd call in supporting what ya sell... And of go down the list... Try to buy another one... And call each merchant that carries them... I'd call that not a waste of time... Good luck

Barrels aren't available. I went with option 1. The thread size of the barrel is M21.5x.75. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow.

Sorry I'm a bit late with the pic....

DIY I guess?

Correct. The only way you are going to build one like I did is to have some friends that can machine some really weird threads. The easiest thing to do would be to send the barrel to Casey at TacOrd and get him to thread the barrel for chokes. You'd lose the existing external threads, but it would do what you want in the end. I already know how mine shoots, but the real test is coming soon. I'm taking it on a pheasant hunt in a couple of weeks.
