turning a 3" into a 3 1/2??

so make fun of me if this sounds completely stupied, but am i able to take a 3 1/2 cambered barrels for my browning bps and put it on my 2 3/4-3 gun that i have now and shot 3 1/2 or will the shells not cycle through the reciever properly?? i don't know ??

Unlikely - the ejection port is likely not big enough. At least, that's the problem you get with Rem 870's.

if anyone out there has a bps in 3 1/2 could you measure the port for me so i can compare..
