does any know if it is absolutley neccisary to have to turn necks in the 222rm version of the 6x47 ?

im reading a bit on the web an a few talk about turning the brass when sizing from 222rem mag into 6mm ..... is it just because they would be benchrest or target shooters looking for optimal accuracy- a matter of their gun or just their preference---- ? i wouldnt HAVE too , unless i had to, right ?

I don’t turn for mine, I might in the future since I have the equipment but it’s not a functional necessity. It could be if it’s a tight neck chamber, but that would be particular to your rifle.

Depends on your chamber. Some rifles need it. I mostly use federal 6x47 nickel plated brass in mine and it doesn't require turning. Some of the resized 222 Rem Mag brass I have needed to be trued after resize, but only certain brands of brass. - dan
