i have been thinking of tweaking my G40 10mm for a while now and finally took the first step today.
well not today, i ordered the barrel and comp 3 months ago they arrived today!
this pistol is so huge already now its just crazy big with the comp on it!!!

i plan on putting a red dot on it and some suppressor height sites then i want to put a big flared magwell on it to help keep a hand on it when shooting big loads.

i can hardly wait to try this new barrel and comp out.
i know the comp really tamed the 460Rowland so im hoping this does the same for the 10mm.

depending on how the gun looks when im done i might even send it out to get painted if it looks too patchy with all the different parts.
already the shiny comp is looking out of place compared to the matte slide.

Cmon man! Everyone already calls the Glock ugly and now you do this to it?

Joking aside, sweet setup! I’m more a compact Glock guy but I’d try a couple mags through your beast. Make sure you update us when the rest of the parts are added.

Upgrade #2

Vortex Venom Red Dot.
not as nice as my Leopold but also half the price, so there's that.

next upgrade will be the sites to suppressor height.
then big mouth magwell.
then.... possibly a new paint job????

im thinking i want a G20SF-C if that is even a thing.
but i want it in a Gen5 cause im a left hand shooter.
im kinda thinking that would be the perfect pistol right now.

Any gen 4 or 5 without a backstrap is equivalent to the gen 3 SF I believe, so you'll be part way there when the gen 5s come out. I'm sure a ported version will be offered at some point.

What do you like about the Leupold over the Vortex btw? I'm trying to narrow down. thanks

havnt used the Vortex enough yet to say i like it better for sure, my saying the Delapoint is nicer is just from me looking at them side by side.
price point of the Vortex is around half of what i paid for my Deltapoint.
Deltapoint is a little smaller then the Vortex.
Dot on the Deltapoint seems to be a little crisper as well.
i do however like the dot on the Deltapoint better than just the plain dot on the Vortex.
but like i said, i just got my Vortex on Tuesday and havnt even had a chance to shoot it yet so i cant form an opinion on it yet.

magwell made it up here finally!

i had to do some cutting to the backstrap to get it to fit around the magwell.
actually had to email Bobby Carver and he sent me directions on how to cut the backstrap to fit.
im going to counter sink the back strap screw a bit thought i think, get it a little further in, might make it more flush.

but i DO LOVE the magwell!
its gives my a better grip on the gun, gives the base of my hand something to snuggy into.

only bad thing is i find the stock mags are gonna need some extended base plates to work better..... so that will be next on my list of things.

I remember when I had G29 a while back full power 10mm loads weren't THAT bad. And very manageable in g20. Never shot the 10mm long slide but must be like shooting .22! :p

it is a very soft shooting pistol.
the length plus the added weight of the 10mm glock slide plus probably the comp makes it feel like your shooting some soft 9mm loads.
