Check out the brochure in the 1000 yard shoot section on our web page https://tprg.ca/ We have some very generous sponsors that are supporting the club. We have great prizes for each event and some good draw prizes for registered shooters. Take note of the junior category events having some very good prizes. so bring along the young shooters 13 to 18 years old to try the sport of bench rest shooting.

It’s been around 25 years since Iv attended this shoot, last weekend I realized how much Iv been missing out! I had a heck of a fun time! Got to meet a lot of awesome folks, and learnt alot about shooting long range, such a great group of people! Outstanding job by the guys and gals who organize and sponsor this event! You all did a fantastic job, I look forward to the next one!…. And look forward to building a proper bench rifle lol.

You’re not kidding! I believe there was a mixup with her ammunition in the unlimited if I heard correct and she had to use a different rifle. Heavy barrel class, she put 5 shots in 3 1/8” though! That lady sure can shoot! There were some pretty good numbers, lots of single digits. 6 3/4” I believe won the unlimited. I managed to put 10 inside 12” with my walnut stocked 7 saum! Pretty pleased about that!

I hope to see you up here next year!!

Kool - congrats on your group with a hunting rifle . Right On ! I like that shoot set up there Because you can shoot 3 to 4 different Classes with different rifles .Lots of shooting to be done .
How was the Wind there ? I was advised it could be REAL Windy . RJ

The first day wasn’t to bad at all for wind, but the mirage was pretty heavy. The second day the wind picked up, blew pretty good for a while with spurts of rain.

Some days it gets super windy for sure up there, but for the most part it’s not to bad for a 1000 yard stretch. There was a bit of logging done a while back that defiantly opened up to the wind though.

We shoot to 500- 900 here in Kamloops a lot and it’s always Windy . Also a LOT of mirage too . Tuff to figure out because it keeps changing :p RJ

Always LEARNING !

Thanks to all the shooters that came from near and far away to our shoot this year. It is a pleasure to host so many young and not so young shooters. Conditions were challenging to overcome at times but there were a lot of amazing groups and scores shot throughout the weekend. Congratulations to the winners especially the juniors that attended and shot some very good groups. A huge thank you to those that volunteered their help to put this shoot on and all the sponsors. We could not put this shoot on with out your support. It is very much appreciated. The results are posted in the Club web site tprg.ca in the 1000 yard shoot section.

Looking forward to next shoot

Keep them in the 10ring

I have a membership to this club and I am so busy and not sure where stuff is in storage that I didn't get to go to the 1000 yard shoot RJ.
Maybe I'll have my stuff together next year and attend. I need to practice again!!
