I am not a sporting clays guy, but got talked into attending the sporting (hunter) clays shoot at Twin cities last weekend.
I believe this is what sporting clays was originally intended to be all about.
Hunting presentations...... None of the 70 yd crosser stuff which is more of a trick shot than a hunting presentation.
A wonderful day, great fun, good prizes, nice folks, and like always I wished I had shot better. Everything was a "makeable" shot.
More shoots to come this summer, and well worth the visit.
Keep your eyes open for these shoots.... TONS of fun.
Truly an "everyman's" shoot.
Big thanks to Twin Cities club for a great experience.

Jim Close and the folks at Twin Cities work very hard to make sure that the shooters have a positive experience. The shoots there have grown from about 35 shooters to close to 100 now. Jim's goal has been to present good shootable targets for the average shooter.

Where is this club? Google keeps coming up with Twin Cities in Minnesota. If it's close(ish) to the GTA and they are open Sundays I would love to go out and try another club while I'm out here.

I could no agree more, Hunters clay is great fun, twin cities always does a great job. I hate when a club just makes targets long to make it harder.
I understand there are those who find Hunters clay to boring, and need more of a challenge. but rule of thumb is if you want good numbers of shooter keep it reasonable
