BENCHREST MATCH MAR. 25/17

Starting time is 9 am
1) Shoot five relays of 5 shots at 100 yrds
2) Shoot five relays of 5 shots at 200 yrds
3) Money shoot for smallest group of five shots @ 300 yds ($5.00)

Cost $40.00 ( Includes lunch )

We have a new heated building for reloading and cleaning, so come try a

A couple buddies and I shot the spring shoot there last year. It was low key, but a lot of fun. I'll have to check schedules and try to bring them out again.

I learned from talking to Gord that we can use bipods? If I understand the rules of BR shooting for score there is a practice target and a score target on the same paper. Within the time limit of each relay we can shoot all the practice shots we want, but make sure to put 5 holes in the scoring target, right? Can we bump the money shoot at 300 yards to $10?;)...hoping for some good wind.

NO issues at ALL running with a bipod. Some rifle set ups just shoot way better off a pod vs a rest anyways..

Should check with Paul the Match Director,but there are 3 classes Varmint Benchrest,Custom and Factory
usually recognized if enough in each class.
Now as to the 300 Yard small group challenge.....I would suggest just laying down whatever you want to wager
and see who steps up to match it :),(That new truck of yours is pretty nice.....)

With covered firepoint and new heated clubhouse it'll be comfortable regardless of the weather!!!

Gord you should use your 223 from last weekend . Mind you , you wouldn`t have a chance against that really fast bolt action shooter . :)
 
Who knows Kevin,with continuing development and changes in Benchrest they may eventually
add a semi auto class .....but I doubt it.
Still have the Precision Match to bring out the fast rifles.....

I'm pretty happy with a $10 bet at 300...I shoot pretty good at times, just hoping that will be one of those times. You guys got it wrong. It should be a heated firing point and a covered clubhouse.:p
