I have a .308 model 760 carbine with the 18" barrel. Does anyone know off hand what the rate of twist for that is?? Is there an easy way to measure/determine that??

I'm guessing 1:10... But Supercub or Blargon might wanna chime in on this one to make sure!!

This is the way that I do it and it seems to work for me.
Take your cleaning rod and put a bore brush on, insert the brush into the bore make sure it is snug fitting, and push it all the way through, pull it back so it is just inside the mussle. Put some masking tape around the rod at the rear of the breech, get a pen and place it against breach and put a dot on the tape on the very top of the rod. Slowly pull the cleaning rod back{by the handle only} and you will see the dot begin to roltate, pull it slowly on till it makes one complete turn, the dot should be back on top of the rod again. Now get anouther peice of tape and put it on the rod at the rear of the breech again, mark it "excatly" the same way that you did the first one, pull out the rod and measure between the dots, your measurement is your twist rate.
