twist rate of the M1917?

I have a BSA P17 and my brother is about to make some loads for me, but he's wanting to know what the twist rate is on it. how can I find out or does anyone here know?

Put a cleaning rod w patch in the bore and mark the top side of the rod with a marker/pen/etc. Push the rod down the bore while letting the rifling rotate it. Measure how far it went until the pen mark is back at the top again. 1 turn in ___ inches.
