I was wondering if someone here could start a twitter campaign against the reclassification of our semi-automatics.

Are there any good twitters out here? I'm not very good on it, actually I've never really gotten how it works, but I understand that the prime ministers team is very aware of the power of twitter and I believe this would also apply pressure as well as email letters and physical letters to his office.

I'm just extremely furious about the amount of attention and money the RCMP is giving to this reclassification project while we have some really hard to solve issues the RCMP should be dealing with, namely:
1 Online bullies bullying teenagers into committing suicide;
2 Growing child ####ography in Canada;
3 ### predators taking trips to Thailand (we all know why a single 50 year old man is going to Thailand for!);
4 Elected officials embezzling public funds.

While I feel I'm being targeted because I legally own semi automatic firearms.

I just set up a new Twitter account @HellerWithAGunn to work this angle. Please post your Twitter handle in this thread so we can work together. At the moment I'm just using the old standby hashtags of #cdnpoli #guncontrol #nomoreguns #guns #LGR #NFA

Might be a good idea to create a specific hashtag for this campaign. Ideas?

"...start a twitter campaign..." Nobody cares what goes on on Twitter.
"...I'm just extremely furious..." Write your MP and complain about civil servants being allowed to make law by regulation.

Best strategy on Twitter is to defend - giving anti's the smack-down. Otherwise you're just trolling for trouble. It's best not to encourage them with our set-backs. Better to write letters instead.

Already done, need to do more, until they give a ####!

A lot of MPs and cabinet ministers are on Twitter. We can inform, build support and bring additional pressure to bear. It isn't intended to replace physical letters. Definitely keep the latter coming.
