I'm looking for hands-on experience re: two ball loads. All I've been able to figure out is hard cast ball. Any loads or choke reports or has anyone tried feeding through a rifled barrel? Pressure? Can I press the cups from hdpe?

Thanks!

The multi bullet concept has been shown to not work. Why do you want to shoot two inaccurate balls through a rifled barrel when you can shoot one accurate slug that weights twice as much instead?

I just started to try a 3 ball load but without success SO FAR. I'm using 3 X 50 cal muzzle loading balls (.490") seated in a wad. The major problem, as I see, is to get an INNER sabot to hold the 3 balls in line. I've only tried a paper wrapped tube (to fill the void in the wad left by using an undersize ball) but that won't work as the release of the balls isn't consistent. I have a couple of ideas but need some time to try them out. The reason I'd like to try this is to provide a better method of using Buck Shot for the short range/heavy bush and just to see if the concept would work.

Sorry, I should have mentioned, this 3 ball load is to be used in a smoothbore deer barrel. I have access to Skeet, Mod and Imp chokes to play with.

Apparently some loads use flaxseed as filler. I think I'll try making a ball mold then use hdpe to
to form a sabot and a donut of pex to hold the shot apart. But I know very little about this process. Figured I'd repurpose commercial cheapo loads.
