If you use Two AR15 5/30 Mags Taped Together at the range, is it Legal?

Has it become a 10/60 round mag??? Or a (5 X 2)/60???

Is the roll of hockey tape prohibited now in this case?

The hockey tape it would seem would fall under the same class as a DIAS as the intent is to effectively create a 10rds magazine...I'm no lawyer but I like to play one on the internet.

Taking nimrods place eh?

This question will give the RCMP nasty idea's. However mags taped together in my opinion do not become a whole new mag or else the law would mention it.

I can't believe someone would have the time to make questions like this up...

How friggin' canadian.... Second guessing laws that don't even exist...

New flash...it's a J.O.K.E....go have a cream soda Fanta and mellow out.;)

Just like an electrical circuit, are those mags in series or in parallel?

If the roll of hockey tape becomes prohibited, does that mean hockey will be banned too?

Ya,because we all know 50% of crimes commited with a hockey stick, the stick was stolen from "so called hockey players"LOL....

I just want to know if it's legal, is there any mention of it
in the books? I don't want a game misconduct at the range!

Since there are no CFC label warnings or "Stickies" on Duct Tape or Hockey Tape, I'm thinkin' it must be legal.

As you mentioned, it's two mags taped together. The law says 5 rounds to an AR mag and that is still what you have, two AR mags with 5 rounds each.

Sparrow may be right about the tape though........

:p

I think this is part of the Liberal's next campaign platform.

I'm waiting to hear that someone phoned the CFC for a clarification.......

Even if you taped 4 mags together in the shape of a cross, you would still have 4 mags, you could still only fire 5 rounds at which point you would have to eject the empty mag and reinsert a new, 5 round mag.

I dunno, it sounds pretty straight forward......

Keep it up guys and the 30 part of the 5/30 will become prohibitted........

My first question is what kind of range are you going to where anyone would give a rats ass about multiple mags "coupled"?? Second, don't use tape, buy a mag coupler from say, First Samco, Mag cinch, Mag Grip, Mason clamps or hell I have one for sale in the EE! They look much cooler and work a lot better.

CF

Just bungee cord them all together like a key chain, that way with 20 mags you get a 100 round mess..

Better yet, nail 20 mags in an upright position in a row side by side on a piece of 2x4, start at the far end, when the mag is empty, push mag release, raise rifle and drop onto next mag. So what would you call this ??

Fanta is good...I had one the other day. It was cz surplus though (no joke) I think Buttler Creek makes their 25rd .22lr mags so they can be 'coupled' . I best go buy another one to clarify this!

ok, i bought a 8,000 foot roll of velcro, making a belt and suspenders,
you can attach at least 100 mags on to that, but it gets heavy walking!
