You can join as many as you can afford.
Fixed that for you.
You won't find many Ontario shooting clubs with less than a $200 annual membership fee and $300-$400 or more is not uncommon.
I am a member of 2 stateside clubs and the annual fee is $25 for one and $35 for the other. Less than $50 is the norm.
I'd like to join another southern Ontario club with a fantastic outdoor range but choked on the nearly $400 total fees to join for the 1st. year.
Go figure.

Yes, its quite common. I usually belong to three or more.
Range naziism cuts across all cultural, ethnic, gender and socioeconomic lines.
Every club has its range nazis who are always looking for new additions to their haze and hassle lists.
Once they realize in a real big hurry
that being a woman, not too big and over 50 doesn't mean pushover they pick up their dented egos 
and move on to someone further down on the food chain who can be intimidated.
One of the local pistol clubs here in Niagara charges $150/year + $45 for CSSA membership, and a once per lifetime range safety course, $10 swipe card deposit, and a $300 building fee (which can be deferred or spread out over a few years). In the end, you're looking at nearly $300 per year for the first few years.
maybe a silly question but are there user fees for each visit for members?
Been looking at a couple clubs and only see membership fees and misc items but not a "visit" fee or non-specific usage fee, like the ones at certain golf clubs where after membership fees there are fees to cover your round etc.

The 3 clubs where I shoot only one has a $1.00 user fee just for insurance for the guest . Other than that there might be a higher price paid for a guest when shooting a round of trap or skeet.
