Two deer,One shot

My late uncle was hunting beside his usual roaring campfire, when a doe came into view. He could only see the top of her back, and head over a hump of ground, and a dead log. He shot the doe, and as instructed by my grandfather, waited, in case a buck was following the doe. After a bit, he sees the does head behind the log again, and gives it another one.
Yup, two does, same spot. No buck though.

Not with big game, but I did get two ducks with one shot once.
"Double duck!"

I've seen that done. One of the old guys who worked at the fish camp with me was in the bow of the boat. I was driving. We were puttering toward a flock in the water. He shouldered his gun, and paused. I thought...wtf are you waiting for...start shooting. Sure enough, he waited until 2 of them were in line and took them both with one shot. God rest your soul Art.

I shot two muley does with one shot from a 6.5x55 once.
The second doe was basically invisible.
I had another hunter beside me and neither of us saw the other doe, but after the shot, when we went up to dress the one, there was another behind her, dead as a stone.
Fortunately, two tags to cover the two deer. Eagleye.

This is copied directly from my deer camp's meeting minutes of 1925 (gotta admire those ol' boys!):

“During the course of the evening Dad Baker was prevailed upon to tell for the benefit of the visitor, Dr. Spence, and to the undying glory of the Club, the true and detailed version of his remarkable accomplishment during the 1925 Hunt, of shooting, hitting and causing to die with one single bullet, three separate, distinct and individual deer – two fawns and one doe, on that section of the Club’s hunting grounds known as Horses Trail. In his characteristically modest manner, Dad once again narrated the simple story of old, almost the same as he told it last time, a feat unparalleled in History or Geography, and backing Lindbergh’s transatlantic flight across two more oceans. The Members were held spell-bound and the Secretary greatly regrets that owing to the enthralling nature of the narrative (and possibly to two drinks of sarsaparilla) he failed to record this true version as spoken.”

Friend of mine on Lasqueti Island head a noise outside at 3am, assumed it was deer disturbing the garden, so he fired a shot to scare them off. Two dead deer in the garden the next day.

Shooting in the daylight with softpoints makes this kind of thing harder, so kudos to anyone who can pull that off.

Friend of mine dropped 2 does last fall with the muzzle loader. Said he shot, big cloud of smoke, smoke starts to roll away and he seen a deer laying there, thought awesome I got her, then all of a sudden he seen another leg kick up further away. Sure enough the second one was laying there.
Of course there is many tall tails now about him filling the whole deer pole with one shot, blah, blah, blah. lol

Not 2 with one shot, but once a couple decades ago myself and another gentleman who was on his first hunt (with a doe tag) and I were stalking up to a small patch of brush we knew held does(watched them from afar). One popped up, he shot it, it dropped, (he thought) it got back up right away, he shot again............long story short it's a good thing I had a doe tag, too.

Partrige, I was hunting with my son at, the guy above's place about 15 yrs later, ran out of #6's, so I gave son what was left, I carried a couple traploads. Of course, they fly up right in front of me and son's position is bad, he yells to shoot, and, well, I wiped out the flock of 5. Despite eating them for supper that night, I felt kind of bad as I like to leave seed for the next guy, and for next year.
