Two Groove enfield

Don't forget Hellyer. Gawd what a waste of rations and human skin.:slap: The only one of the bunch that made a successful transition to being a great commander was Napoleon, and even he eventually engineered his own downfall.

NEVER forget Hellyer: the man who destroyed the Army and did it with a piece of paper.

Did he even MAKE Corporal, or was he just a politician: went all the way from Liar to God in one easy election?

Met him once, have one of his books here, all about how Social Credit was right all along about monetary policy and how he "knew it all along". If he "knew it all along", then WHY did he spend so much time in the House mocking Real Caouette, who DID understand economics and the theory of money?

Politicians! Offer me any one of them and I'll still take a Cat: MUCH more intelligent AND more honest. The difference? A Cat will steal the Pork Chop off your plate (I know this is a fact) but a Politician will steal your Grandchildren's dinner before they are even born (also a fact). At least the Cat looks guilty when you catch him.

It is really too bad that none of our politicians have bothered to read the BNA Act of 1867, which sets out specific areas for the Federal and the Provincial Governments and forbids any exchange of powers or intrusion into the other fellow's bailiwick. The Federal Government has the right to make the Criminal Law (sec. 91) but Sec. 92 gives to the provinces the EXCLUSIVE right to legislate as to PROPERTY.

FIREARMS are PROPERTY. Various USES of them MAY be Criminal if they are used to harm another person but, apart from that, they are property. And I REALLY wish I had the money to hire a lawyer to take that one to court. Doug Christie likely is the only lawyer in the country who is capable of handling such a case, but, unfortunately, Doug is expensive AND he is overworked. But I do wish....
