Been seeing a flock of chickens for a week now while walking to my deer stand so tonight I lugged my telly .177 pellet gun along with my Sako Finnbear Deluxe in 7 mag.PITA to carry but managed to head shoot two before the rest took off.At least it's quiet.

Problem with most pellet pistols [or my shooting ]is they are not accurate enough for headshots. That and the chickens head never seems to keep still long enough .Own .............Webley Tempest .177 ,BSA scorpion .22 and HW45/.22

I had to look up a Relum Telly. Made under contract by FEG of Hungary. This posting shows some issues they can run into.

I like oldshool air rifles such as your Telly.

I have in the past taken small pest birds with a Webley Tempest (.177). It is easier if you shoot at the back of their necks at ranges of no more than about 30 ft or ~9m or so, but really air pistols are not suitable for any kind of small game hunting, even if your juristiction allows it. Ours does not allow use of either air pistols or air rifles. Why do I live in this nowhere province?

Snatched a second one up at a gunshow almost in new condition for $30! I have my childhood Telly from the 60's that I rebuilt and it shoots just under 600 fps.Learned to shoot with that gun .A lot of small game.Harold
