Canada post was extra nice to me today, brought me a couple of new toys. I would have done some progressive tease pictures but they just would have been of me drooling and tearing paper off boxes.

First, from Wolverine a SAM commander in 9mm

Next, from fellow nut martiy, a Smith 4506, the very first pistol I ever fondled when I was 19 and was too poor to afford to shoot.

They both go nice with the Sig 1911-.22 I picked up a couple of weeks ago

SAM pistols are pretty tight and well made....you won't find many tool marks inside. I'm not sure I dig the polished controls and the blasted slide/frame of that stainless model though....need to see more pics!

Looks really nice. If Wolverine had any marketing sense, they would have created a pic thread a while ago to show everyone how well the SAM 1911s are made. I'm thinking of buying one for my wife in 9mm, and your pics are a huge help. Thanks.

I am liking that "clean" slide without markings.

My thinking exactly. There are so many 1911 copies out there these days with so much crap stamped into the slides that they look like billboards. It's refreshing to see one that clean & sleek - looks like it's intended to be a serious piece of kit, rather than an advertising flyer for the maker.

That's what has kept me from buying a norinco 1911, to much writing and symbols on em for me. I really like the simplistic look on the SAM 1911.
