Two guns under $500?

My first Restricted was a {used} Norinco NP 22 - Sig Clone for a few hundred... even now that I can afford the real thing, I still love to shoot the good ole' Norinco! & The Tokarevs are really great guns, just a tad ugly. Also,There is the {new} Sig 250- Ive seen some new & used for under $500! Cheerz ~

as for the 9mm shop around for a used Ruger American Pistol.
Not many around as they were just introduced at the end of last year.
Lots to like about them...

as for the .22 - best advice will be in this forum...

enjoy the hobby!

How big are your mitts??? IME Girsan/Beretta are quite a handful.

I'll second the FNS9 recommendation. Very solid pistol and nice to have the cold-hammer forged barrel in there!

...

Now, I need two handguns. I like either semi-autos or revolvers.

I have about a $1000 budget for this.

...

I think you will end up with two semi-auto pistols. There are many good rimfire and centrefire choices that will come within your budget. Revolvers are more expensive to make so they are usually more expensive to buy. Most that are desirable will be over $500 even used so that limits your choice of the other gun.

Yeah. I don't see any cheap Revolvers except for one in .22lr in that CATF paper.

This has probably already come up, but I would buy one gun and some ammo.

9mm ain't cheap unless you hand load, so that kind of leads me to suggest a nice .22 and a bunch of ammo.

But if I were to get the same advice at your stage in the game, I'd go "pssshh... lame" So... get a good quality 9mm (CZ75, Walther PPQ, Beretta... there are lots of good options under a grand) and get some ammo and never turn back brother! :)

Hand guns are a capital expense. Ammo is an operational budget item. ;-)

A certain ex-site sponsor has a Boxing Day sale going on right now with Pietta Millennium Peacemaker (Colt Single Action Army) copies on sale for $375. At that price I snagged one in .45 Colt.

The OP can't go wrong with a GSG 1911 in .22LR either for about $400 give or take. You can buy a lot of .22LR ammo for the couple hundred bucks he'll have left over.

I run a m&p 22 and 9mm pistol.
I like that they are identical for ergonomics and I'm a lefty so i factory that in.
However I'm not real happy with the trigger so it's some to ve aware of.
My m&p 22 eats everything i feed it so that a big plus.

Good luck and happy shooting.
