Climbed into my stand set my gun down took a drink of coffee, looked out and this guy was about 80yds and closing quick. 40yrds Remmy 20" rifled with rifle sights and Challenger slugs. Ran off about 70 yards and fell over.

hey just a question.
Do you take a photo after it has been shot in the field? or just one hwen its hangin in a shed/garage enviroment?

I notice alot of guys only show pictures of the deer once they are hang up in a shed.

IMO i much rather a photo of the buck/doe in its original enviroment. with my hunting gear, rifle an the animal... kind of rewarding an gives great memories..

interested to hear your response.(anyone for that matter)

Yes I do have field pics, just waiting for my father to send them. That hole is the exit hole, the entance hole was twice that size. The antlers are not the same on each side.

I have been out for the last week hunting hard !!Here are the pics of my deer....

Oh ya I didnt get one ......YET!!!I still have a few more days in rifle season and if I dont get one with my new poly m-305 I will still have my doe tag for archery season so I hope to get a chance to fill it with the excalibur...

Nice looking buck !! Well Done

I hardly ever carry a camera when I go hunting. In fact, I carry very little of anything when I go hunting other than extra ammo and stuff to keep me warm and well fed

Robert

LOL, it takes longer than that for me to pick out a steak in the grocery store, and here you walk into Nature's Supermarket, and pay for that one just-like-that!

Beautiful animal, I can see why he fell over, the stitching let go all along the bottom of him!

Great deer, I hope to go out for my first next year. My first hunting season is (was supposed to be) turkey, and waterfowl (at least that part is going well).
