Man you sure can tell I'm hurting when I happily post that I shot two pigeons today (107 yards, 17 Rem FB). The warm weather we're having here in Sask has given me a case of cabin fever. Maybe a coyote tomorrow? Just getting out will be good.

Use those pigeons for bait.
The dust ball a pigeon creates on being hit is neat.
We were hitting them at 200 yards and the cloud of dust was about a yard across.

Thats not dust...it's lice!LOL Seriously though, ever see the lice drop off those buggers in winter?GROSS man! The lice drop off them and onto the backs of the cows in the barns here at my buddies farm. Then we have to spray the cows down. I shoot every one of them flying vermin I can.:D

pigeons are quite tasty...;)

a couple years back i was inside a silo and nailed one that was at the top with the 17hmr and it started raining corn that was in its crop. i never did find its neck and head :D

Pigeons have feather lice that live off the fluffy parts of a feather. They do not infect cows as they have no feathers. Cattle have other lice and they are spread by direct contact between animals, not via birds.
Shooting the pigeons will not help your friends lice problem in his livestock.
Pigeons can and do carry other diseases though.
