two pistol package

If I was in your shoes, I would go with the BHP and S&W. I have a BHP and S&W 63. Both are right for me. Looking for a S&W 18 if one ever comes along. Another great .22 from S&W.

Good choices! I'm a BHP/S&W Model 63 guy myself.

Have had a Model 18 before, too. Just some nice balance with that 4" barrel on the "K" frame. Awesome revolver, wish I'd never sold it.... :(

A Browning HP and S&W .22 for $1000? If you don't take that would you kindly forward me his phone number? That's one hell of a deal. New HPs go for about $1000 new and you only get the gun and two mags.

Seems like a no-brainer... buy them whether you like them or not. Buy 'em, try'em - if you like 'em keep 'em - if you you don't like 'em SELL them.

That way you get to give a couple of guns a good run.

Worst case you are a few bucks ahead and you can buy something else.

IMHO
