You're right, the CanAm stuff is M43. What I should have said was "non-corrosive 7.62x39mm is not necessarily M43."

M43 is a specific loading. Privi soft point or PMC lead core are non-corrosive, but not M43.

It would be like calling all .223 ammo "M193" when that only applies to 55gr 5.56x45mm.

Correct as the round is under powered. Although with in 300 meter's it is quite good in a bolt action rifle from what I have seen. Although the great thing about this round is that under 300 meters it punches harder than most rounds above it's weight class.
