Hello everyone, first post here :)

i'm thinking of getting DE .50 AE. How difficult is it to get this ammo in canada/ontario and at what price?

Also, what is a reasonable price of new HK USP .45 ACP? For a used one?

.50 AE is quite pricey (due to the limeted market) unless your into reloading. Unless your rich, most people cant afford to buy brand new factory loaded .50AE unless they only shoot one box a month or something.

i would suppose a new USP45 is gonna be around 1000 dollars new, for a good 95% condition used i'd say 800-850 bucks or so. course i dont have much experiance with selling or buying used things, so dont hold me to that value :redface:
 
the reason i'm asking is that for example, shooters choice sells USP Elite for $2000, while this US shop sells for $1000.

P2000 is 1150 vs 725, almost 500 dollar difference.

And i didnt even search for bargains, this is the first thing that comes up in google.

I'm new to purchasing guns, so, is this fluctuation in price "normal"? Or are there better places to buy from (in canada)? The analogy i'm thinking of is that electronics in Future Shop are grossly overpriced vs the same stuff at smaller (chinese) shops.

PS. What is "quite pricey" for .50 AE?? Can you give a number? I dont plan to use DE as my main gun, it's more of a cool collector gun to shoot on special occasions :)

Wolverine Supplies has some of the best prices on HK. The P2000 is is $925 and the elite is $1725.

A box of 20 rounds of 50AE is about 50 bucks, give or take 10 bucks. Reloading is the best way to go.
 
If you want to buy a US gun, and if those numbers are correct, I wouldn't blame you. Check out the link to Questars site, up top. Mark is probably one of the best dealers this board has, and importing is a big part of what he does.
 
My Gold Titanium DE.50AE was $2200 total to my door. Each box of 20rds was $45.00. I've found a guy in the States that's willing to export (with the proper paperwork) .50 - 300gr bullets for $200/1000.

Do you know what the difference is between the titanium gold and the 24K gold?
Why did you pick the titanium over the 24K
 
Heaven's right, the 24k gold is for looking at and the Ti is for shooting. As for price I don't think there is much difference at all. The Titanium is a very hard coating, exactly same as they put on drill bits.
