I've owned an STI Trojan in .40 for a couple of years now
and it is my favourite pistol.
I just plain like 1911 style pistols.
I had to start the New Year out right,so I ordered up another Trojan from
Sean at Freedom Ventures.
This time it's a 9mm.
I loaded up 100 rds. of 124gr. Win FMJ
and took it to the range this morning.
I had two mags. One that came with the pistol and an extra that I ordered with it.
I believe they are mecGars.
To make a long story short,a hundred rounds later,I was quite pleased.
Gun ran beautifully,without a hitch.
I'm going to load up some 115gr. and some 147gr. and go back at it some more.
I'm pleased.
Thanks Sean
.40 is on the top..9mm on bottom

You own 2 1911's and neither one is in .45..........WTF?:)
You need to complete the trinity and get a .45 Trojan.
While you are at it, get a .38 super barrel for that 9mm.......1911 is too much gun for the tiny 9mm:) You will enjoy it too, .38 super almost sounds like a .357mag when fired at indoor ranges.

Cut me some slack Hitzy.
I load for 45.
I'm in a transitional period.
I just parted with a Colt and yes..at the moment I am 45less..oh my God.
Yes I have already envisioned the Trinity.
A Stainless 45 Trojan.

I really wish there was more factory ammo available in .38 Super up here. It is fun to shoot and deadly accurate.

You got the perfect 9mm set up with that one!:D A Ranger II would be my pick but that 9mm would be great to have. Injoy your new 1911! 9mm in a 1911 is great, don't let anyone tell you different:p

Hi Lefty,

I for one think the 1911 is a very good platform for the 9mm. Way over engineered and very durable as a result. Ease of replacement of parts and parts availability also make it a Winner.
