Two XDm questions (service and trigger)

Two questions regarding the up and coming XDm:

1) I haven't played with any Springfields in quite some time. Way back when, I recall some difficulty in regards to getting parts or service for XD pistols. Is there still any difficulty ? Is there a Canadian warranty depot ? Who is the current Canadian importer ?

2) Will the XDm pistols have the same trigger (and same trigger reset :bangHead:) of the XD Tactical pistols ?
 
Sadly is they aren't here yet. As for the parts still not easy to come by here. Among all plastic gun, I like the XD better but went to Glock because of this matter. Some said that Freedom Venture will be the importer soon but haven't really confirmed. None of the XDM has bought into our Country so no one know how the trigger perform but the reviews on the net been great. I am in the line for one.

Yeah the parts issue has never been a problem for my Glocks; not sure if it is a deal breaker but it definately doesnt help. If Sean at FV would import, that would make a HUGE difference.
 
I was gonna get an XD as my first pistol, but decided against it because of this lack of domestic service. M&P's a good alternative I think. I do wish I could get an XDM, but the idea of waiting months and months on warranty issues sends me running.
