hi guys
Does anyone know ty81lmg Barre Thread adapter size , i buy Barre Thread adapter to Convert M16x1 RH to 5/8" - 24 Male but not suit my gun https://tufforce.com/thread-converter/to-5-8-24-male-thread-converter/barre-thread-adapter-to-convert-m16x1-rh-to-5-8-24-male-steel-black/ thanks for help

Its starting to come to light that some of the LMGs imported to Canada have muzzle threads of M16x1mm, and others are M14x1mm lol

but it doesnt say what it was.

Owners on other forums are stating that VZ58 brakes are threading onto their Type 81sa LMGs. And they are measuring the Major Dia of the threads to be around 13.75mm.

can you send me link for your kodiak muzzle brake

Sure, here you go. It really is a good option.

What are you talking about? Unless he happens to have one of the guns that was produced in 14x1 then he would need an adapter. So I would say

Kodiak is in fact for him, as an option at least. Made specifically for the Type-81 and is the correct thread.

Edit: I didn’t see his reply beforehand about him possibly having the 14x1 thread Type-81, that’s my bad.

One thing I know for sure m16*1 rh is not fit my gun is bigger may be is m14*1 rh。so you mean if i choose vz58 or cz858 muzzle devices i don‘t’ need 14x1 thread adapter Otherwise i need it right?

lol... no worries, we were all told by TI a couple of days ago that there is another thread for the LMG. previous to this year shipment are oddball M16x1 RH but this year are M14x1 RH.

OP said he ordered an M16x1 RH adapter from tufforce.com that didnt fit his LMG then therefore he must have M14x1 RH so he doesnt need an adapter if using vz58/cz858 muzzle devices. thats good news.

So to be clear, anyone with an LMG can use CZ/VZ muzzle devices? The slant brake TI brought in is lame.

no... lmg shipped in 2020 and before are M16x1 RH , serial # 20202000 and lesser. must use a tufforce USA adapter with 5/8 x 24 devices or TI slant comp currently offered , no adapter needed.

lmg shipped in 2021 are M14x1 RH, serial # 20202001 plus . can use any VZ58 muzzle devices without adapter. just to be clear TI slant comp will not fit.

I have one of each... Great. It's not like the LMG has much recoil so it's not the end of the world but I do find the mismatched machining a bit of a piss off.
