I recently picked up a rather nice Type 38, unfortunately it doesn't have its dust cover or cleaning rod.
I would love to find the two parts to make it complete, I am aware the Type 38 dust cover was a true to form for its intended rifle. Swapping dust covers from what I have read seems to result in ok, to a rather mediocre time while using it.
A cleaning rod is well, just a cleaning rod.
I have found online a few stores that sell reproduction and even lucky enough to find OEM covers, which would be a guess if itll actually operate well with the cover.
Finding these in Canada is likely as rare as hens teeth just laying around for sale.
I understand importing from the U.S. any sort of component is a headache all of its own.
What would be the best course to find a cover / rod?
