I recently bought a spare magazine for my type 54. It wasn’t until I got it home that I realized there was something peculiar with it. Someone had jammed what looked like a strip clip into the magazine, and pinned it there (it would not accept 7.62x25) so I removed that. I am wondering if it could be a 9mm magazine? Unfortunately I cannot post pictures yet. If so, is there a way to convert it back to 7.62x25 or should I just return it. Thanks folks!

Could very well be a 9mm mag. There were two different methods that were used for the 9mm Toks. One used a mag well spacer and the other used a spacer in the mag. I've used regular 7.62 Tok mags in a converted 9mm Tok without any of those mods with no feeding problems. Trigger reset issues yes. but those are not mag related I think.
