With the manufacturer permanently shutting down Type 81 production this year, this is the final opportunity to obtain one of the best 7.62x39 rifles ever produced. This last and final shipment will not last long. In stock and shipping now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One Of The Best.

There is no better combination of low recoil, controllability, reliability, aesthetics balance and value in a 7.62x39 rifle:
• Well balanced and points easily
• Full chrome lined barrel and gas system
• The rifle is incredibly flat shooting, comparable to a 5.56x45 in felt recoil and muzzle rise
• Reliability is astounding, with not a single rifle coming back for failures
• Lightweight and ergonomic
• Classic looks, iconic piece of history

The Type 81 is an asset to any shooter's collection and the opportunity to own one will be over shortly

Non-Restricted. Only $999.

I bought the spare parts kit and for the price I have to say it is fairly useless, if need be you can improvise and duplicate most of the springs/parts in the kit the parts you should have like a spare bolt and carrier and gas piston aren't included. I'm not bashing Tactical Imports as I assume it's right from norinco but compared to a cz858 parts kit it's lacking. Love the guns though. Just my 2 cents.

Been waiting to get these in store in REGINA SK where you have one dealer who has been bugged weekly by myself for these. Are dealer orders being prioritized by order size leaving smaller outfits S.O.L? I personally like to hold, inspect and choose the rifle I purchase if I can. If online is the only way so be it!

So lmg kits will officially never see the light of day then?

We are doing our best to get LMG version before production line shuts down later this year, it's not confirmed but not a definite no either. But we were told no more normal Type 81 rifles ever unfortunately :(

Nice I know it's not definite but are you working to get complete rifles or just kits? Just wanna know if they are kits so I can pick up 1 more 81 before then and hope they are made.

Did they give a reason for no more normal type 81 rifles?

Type 81 is produced in State Arms factory. We were told they are all moving to full capacity production of new service rifle at end of year, all export projects will be on hold until rearmament is complete. Afterwards there will be a surplus of Type 95/03 rifles which will assumeably be passed down to reserve units, making Type 81 obsolete for government use. Type 81 never had strong export sales due to the double price over AK, was mostly internal demand. We were lucky we even got the production we did back in 2017. If everyone remembers we had a single production run and have been storing units at the factory, taking inventory from this storage over time. This is the last of that storage from the original production run

That's a real shame! I enjoy my Type-81 as fun plinker and as something cool enough to entice newbies to come shooting. Is there still going to be mags available for awhile yet?
We've done a good job keeping mags in stock for most part, we should be able to satisfy current demand
