Have you followed this thread at all? Granted, all we really have to go on is what TI has said but there’s no evidence anyone else is even close to bringing more in.

Lol because it is the only shipment coming Canada at this point, it took so long to get these because we had to wait for a military contract to piggy back on. Just like how we want to bring in the LMG version but there are no military orders to jump on so it’s a no go as of now. More t81s for our market won’t be made likewise until another government PLA contract comes in. Could be 6 months or it could be 3 years again... we don’t know and at this point no other company has passed inspection to bring their versions in, so ya expect to pay a premium for that folder used.
 
I remember TI said there was more type 81SA were produced, it is just not shipped to Canada in this TI's order. If TI sees the continue interest of type 81SA, they can bring in another batch I guess.

Canadian market is the only buyer of the semi auto version of it anyway.
 
Ti are more extra mags going to be brought in ? At this time I have other pressing issues to need to steal my cash and am just curious as I don’t want to be stuck with only the two it comes with. Cheers
 
The proprietary mags are good and cheap. $30 for this mag with BHO feature is better then the majority of AK mags I've seen for sale. Hell even vz58 mags aren't thay cheap and if they are those are surplus ones

I have an AK drum lying around I was going to convert for an 858 but never got around to it. I'll try it in the type 81 and let everyone know if it works.
