in other news.. is there any other way to attach a red dot other then the handguard?

Personally I'm putting a standard AK style side rail on mine and running a Russian sidemount sight.

The vz58 has its own side rail and is tapped and threaded for said mount. Not an ak47 rail.

True but I just like several others did to their CZ858's before tue csa was even out for sale I sent my cz858 to a smith who tapped my cz reciever for an AK mount which work great

Im an iron sight guy,My hunting area is thick bush so a scope is a hinderence.Would like to see a short hunting mag so the little green men leave me alone.

This is a Croatian AK mag bottom. There's just 2 edges that hold the floor plate on. Should be easy to shorten the T- 81 mag without special tools.
