I once flew in a plane, does that make me an aerospace engineer?
The type 81 has very little in common with an SKS apart from calibre and that it has a short stroke gas piton. That's where any similarity ends.
It has an AKM bolt and recoil assembly, a fcg that's a lot like a vz58, and a gas valve and grenade spigot that may have been copied from an stgw57.
The mag system is a rip-off of the Yugo AK complete with BHO.

As in you can shoot without the top cover... Like an AK. Which has the same recoil spring and carrier track designs.

If they were going that way they never would have approved it in the first place. It is a new design, taking from several others. It isn't in danger.

Again, no reason for the lab to approve something that they could ban. Which in this case they felt that couldn't.
Heck yeah. That's one of the production guns, so either it was taken in China, or the CBSA warehouse, or the guns may be at ti???
Oh, and no Phillips screws on the rear swivel - proper slot screws. Sweet.
