With standard 7.62x39 ammo AKA the cheap/surplus ammo that makes up 95% of this calibre out there AND combined with this style of pretty basic (some may say crappy :p) short sight radius irons these guns would most likely come out minute of man out to about 250-300 yards...seems pretty "right" for a battle rifle of this style/era/cost/calibre.

^^^ Exactly, these rifles were never intended to be tack drivers period !

Anyone from TI or Calibre want to address this?

You should check PLA shooting test score not this.
In PLA every soldier must pass shooting tests through out entire military life。
The accuracy shooting test is 100 meter target shooting, 5 rounds, a good shooter can get 45-49 score which is definitely not 5 moa.

Go to TI's pictures of the rifle and mag up scale the mag picture, hold your AK mag beside it and you will see what needs to be done to make it fit and that's still a maybe.

T81 T63 mags fit AKs FYI. Asked a few guys down South and comfirmed.
Military T81s can use AK mags but with no bho. This batch I assume may fit AK mags if made the same, even if not, slight mod to the mag should be good to go.

so it s taking some ak mags but not all .... confusing isnt it ...

at the sale pitch for those coming in is interesting ....

question for TI: how many rifles really shipped this time?

TI isn't advertising it to take AK mags because it isn't designed to take them or work properly with them.

Type 63 mags and Type 81 mags are the same.

Not all AK mags meet the same tolerances.

So saying "It takes ak mags" when AK mags variations are so wide, and the gun isn't specifically designed to take them, the line is it doesn't take AK mags.

If you get lucky with an AK mag great. But don't expect them to work. You might get them to work with mods either mild or not.

My 9mm SAF isn't designed to take Uzi mags. Or Uzi mags modified for an 9mm AR. But they work. They don't advertise the SAF as taking them.

What does it matter if it takes AK mags anyway? Are there that many guys out there with AK mags and no rifle to shoot them in? If anything the vz-58 mag would be more prevalent in Canada to try and adapt a rifle for the Canadian market to. And the visual differences between the AK mag and the T81 mags are slim so why not just use the mag the rifle was designed for?
