-the chance of clients having issues swapping the wood
-the gun boxes were not designed to have another set of wood hardware inside, they didn't want to risk the possibility of the hardware on the wood damaging the blued finish during transport
-the non-spec wood looks pretty bad, they did not want to chance there being a bunch of guns out there with people that didn't bother to swap the wood and ended up circulating around

Good news is that they will come from the factory as pictured, no work required

Blonde stocks work for me and if I don't like it, I can stain it.

If you don't know how to stain wood, please turn in your adult card. :p

Without knowing the particulars on the packaging it's difficult to comment but can easily envision a scenario where the furniture wrapped in bubble-wrap would not even fit in the box let alone alone provide the space requirements necessary to prevent crush.
 
If we are just getting this news about the stocks now does that mean the Chinese have yet to ship it? Hopefully the ship they use has monster turbo chargers on those big diesel engines. Lets get these dam things here. The waiting and the trolls are taking their toll. Blondes are good.

Valid point.. Does this mean these still haven't shipped out?!
 
Could well be on the way, and the factory is just telling us what to expect. In any event a few days here or there doesn't matter at this point.
 
What about open a box.. turn on light.. take picture of actual gun we will get in box and how it will ship..
Is that to complicated.. ?? Better still take 2 pics.. One of the folder and 2nd full stock..
