Hmmm considering they have been in customs for 12 days.... TI said 3-7 so an update would be nice.

Here is my thoughts. They are mine and only mine. With the influx of asylum seekers pouring over the boarder in both southern Manitoba and Quebec and little help from the government the boarder guys are not happy. Perhaps they are being extra particular with dotting the "i's" and crossing the "t's". You know as a kind of work to rule action. Just my thoughts on the issue.

The quad rail just looks slapped on IMO. It's not "modernized" it's an afterthought solution to a problem.(admittedly a modern problem) I'm all for doing whatever you want to your stuff, paint if pink and put streamers on it, I'll back you 100%. This is just my take on it only, and it could change tomorrow...

It's all in the eye of the beholder, and function vs. form. The quad rail, on this rifle, it's just too much for me to be a peace with.
I'm certain that there's a more subdued option for accomplishing the task.

I, personally, like my wood guns wood and my black guns black. THOUGH I have been seeing some ARs with wood that look beautiful, so who knows.

I agree. There is no right or wrong way to customize your own rifle unless you do something you don't like just because a guy on a forum said it was the only cool way to do it. I have modded most of my guns. This one I think will stay stock (for now).
