Atleast that we know of at this moment. The vz58 had 40 round mags but they were super rare.. Aks have 40 rounders so who knows maybe somewhere they use extended mags
 
Ya , I agree I would like different mags as well. All the research ive done I’ve only come across the 30 and 75, then again there isn’t slot of info into the pla itself so who knows. I hope we can get the drum first tho from Polytech. We be cool to have

SOMEONE will tease out whether an AK mag can be made to work in a T81 (without BHO) - likely within a week of rifles being in people's hands ;)

I just got some Norinco 5/10 mags for my M-305. I'm hoping I can get them to work in the T-81. I also have some Magpul 5/10 mags that won't work in my M-305. They're a beauty mag but a bit too wide for M-305. I hate the 5/30 on a bench.

Pretty sure those will be way to wide

I usually go for the calculated basic 'combat' load-out of 11 per rifle. Seven for the gear, one for the rifle, and three spares.

Still can't wait for the reviews... I hope they suck as I really don't want to be forced into an other 7.62x39 platform, lol.

Close to what I have researched. Being a civi with no military experience (does air cadets count) I have learned 4 'quick' mags (one in the rifle) and 4 'slow' mags for a basic gear set-up. Total 8... as for spares you want a third of your load. I round up to three mags.

But I have four Vz58s... so I have 43 mags. Which is ridiculous because I only use the same 8 mags. Oi, a firearms hobby is expensive :)

lol, 4 mags is like the minimum...in the CF our tac vests aren't modular (some general's great idea) and there is only provision for 4...the yanks usually carry 3 double pouches for 6.
 
All this magazine talk, can someone clarify how many we get with the gun. I ordered when this fiasco started. They sent an email saying I get an extra mag and sling for waiting plus I paid for four more. I assume I will be getting 3 with the gun (2 with original order and 1 for waiting) plus the four I ordered so 7 total. Sound right?
