I've never seen a Chinese gun box with that much room inside. There are usually dividers for gun, three mags, sling, oil bottle, cleaning kit and sometimes bayonet. You did get a big box.

My suspicion is they shipped in foam, but if you ordered extras, ti removes the packing foam to make room for extra mags, etc.
