keep watching ebay, they still show up for $30 to $40US every now and then. I just got a type 81 and have a type 85 and type 97 bayonets coming.

Your welcome, I just wish I’d known about the fittment issue before I’d got mine. But such is life when you Oder stuff for a rifle your still waiting to show up. Lol

If I am not changing the grips to wood, all I have to do is to file that prominency at the bottom of the ring, so it slides on the muzzle?

In order to get it to fit on one of the launcher rings so it won't jiggle around, you have to move the pummel of the bayonet closer to the blade. This means shortening the grips and drilling new holes in the tang. It's easier (and looks better) to make new grips out of wood than it is to try and modify the orignal plastic ones.

You can move the grenade launcher 1/4 inch forward too. Then the bayo doesnt need to be modified

I wouldn't recommend modifying the rifle to fit the bayo.... Make the bayo fit the rifle
