TYPE 81 folding stock more pictures (DAY 6 Update "a bent rifle")

So I guess "Factory 26" and being made alongside a "military order" doesn't mean very much these days.
Chinese manufacturing is still hit or miss and the end user is the QC department, so literally nothing has changed in the last 30 years with firearms production in China.

I guess it would not effect POA/POI if the rear sight is also mounted to the barrel.
I wrongly assumed the rear sight on these was atop the receiver above the barrel trunnion.

Aye in that case mechanical wear and eventual problems with the bolt, headspace, guide rails etc over time would be primary concern.
And like I said before a bent rear stock is nothing to really worry about.
Still upsetting to say the least regardless of manufacture origin. It's still $1K on a rifle. I would not be impressed with an off center barrel. The stock is fixable by myself. Offset barrel is unacceptable no matter you slice it, no matter the price tag, no matter the country of origin.
That's my unpopular personal opinion though.

I called them multiple times yesterday and never got an answer. I also called them 6 times today. Again no answer from the cowards. They have just cut off all of the people that have been waiting for their type 81. I STILL dont have a shipping notice for my folder. Who knows maybe its bent to all hell and their hiding it. They should just come out and tell us whats going on. Because not answering the phone or emails makes them look like the most shady business in Canada. I will never buy from them again.

When I called I couldn't get through when I chose the "sales" option but then chose the parts and service option and got to an employee immediately

I just called using the parts and service extension and got a guy right away. Thanks cpbird91 so much. He told me that if my folder has any issues to send it back free of charge and that very few have issues. He also said that the shipping is very slow because Canada post will only process so many type 81s at any given time. I asked him why nobody would answer on the sales line and he said that they have a pile of messages to go through on that line so its backed up. ALWAYS CALL PARTS AND SERVICE if you have an issue. Only way to get through.

He said that any quality control issues will be taken care of, if my type 81 comes warped. That will put my mind at rest until it arrives I can assure you.
