I'm here to laugh at whiners, those who whine at whiners, and those who whine about those who whine about whiners. And at Trump, because he's always whining about something, so he's the real victim here.

j/k, but I can foresee from here the whining that will go on when a few units are defective. I mean, suppose 0.5% are bad right out of the box, then for every 1000 rifles sold there's gonna be 5 disappointment. I don't think any of these 5 people will be in a forgiving mood, and if only 1 of them is a regular CGNer, the whining will be endless.

Gonna go make some popcorn, that will be a show to remember.

Didn't you see the thread about the bent receiver T81 yet? Epic. Although, I can sympathize with the unlucky recipient.

So I went to Tenda, the place was packed for tiny store. Great service and the woman helping me was quite knowledageable on the products. I ended up purchasing some ammo.

As for the type 81 I asked a few questions and got some easy answers. I was told they had about 20 units, all sold yesterday. They had one in the back which was brought out for me to play with. It was a solid unit. I did think the safety was quite odd as it appeared to need to rotate 180 degrees.... I believe the one I handled was serial number 351.

Included in the box were two mags. No extras were available. She advised she did not know who the distributor was, not does it really matter to me.

I was told more will be available Q1 2018 and there will be a pre order which may appear on the site. I asked twice to be clear but was told she thought the price on the rifle was $969.

I am in no rush and am waiting for some good reviews before I get one so did not go on a pre order list.

Good for you Tenda for getting these out there! I will be watching the EE and for the presale in the event I decide to pull the trigger!

I doubt TI would let Tenda sell the units for less than themselves. Wouldn't make much sense. My guess is the lady's info was innacurate. Plausible since she did not even know who the importer was.

Youza.

We don't even know Tenda got them from TI. That's speculation until either party comments.

All we know for sure is that Tenda got Type 81's, shipped them the same day they got them, and none of their customers have posted about having any issues.

Tenda got 20 guns. There is literally no other possible scenario than having gotten them from TI.
They certainly didn't get 20 guns produced on their own in China, and TI is the only one bringing them into Canada.
Come on now. Its not that hard to put 2 and 2 together.

Youza.

Eariler this year in one of the myriad T81 posts, Tenda queried TI if they could do a dealer purchase for a number of rifles - it was right around the same time I placed my own preorder so it kinda stuck in my mind. Guess they worked it out.

You may be right, but for all we know tenda bought some of the production overrun. We simply don't know. And it doesn't really matter, I guess.
