Type 81 LMG and 81 OR folder safety compatibility

Hi,

I would like to swap the standard left side safety and pins on a LMG with those on a SE folder thats optics ready and right side safety. Are these parts compatible? Has anyone experienced fitment/reliability issues?

The safety may not swap across cus i believe the Optics Ready rifles dont have the proper relief cut on the left side of their receivers.

correct. the standard left selector require relief cut that OR dont have on the left side of receiver.

Gao: however, its an easy fix, just mod the selector , do not touch the receiver.

Thank you, I will have a look and tinker when i have all the parts together over the weekend

simple. put the two selector side by side and you will noticed the left selector has a flange while the OR doesnt (do not touch the shaft). just file off the flange and you are done, next!!!! lol. yes, i hav dunnit.

Yes true, I remember now, was an easy fix. So easy, I did not even remember.
