Just got a shipping/tracking email from TI and my new proper Type 81 LMG drum internals arrive by CP tomorrow. Any one else get theirs and carry out the required mod??
 
Free if you bought with the original offering as everyone lost it over the stupid plate that was welded inside so TI decided to replace with the internals that should have been there from the outset.
 
You had to request it at the time this was a big issue and receive a confirmation email from TI stating you would get these parts, at that point it was automatic. I heard nothing till I got the email this morning that the parts had been shipped last Thursday and the tracking number showed a delivery tomorrow.

UPDATE
-Replacement wheel and wing nut kits will be available free of charge and upon request to anyone who ordered a drum on/before Sept. 24th 2020. They will be arriving on next shipment due before end of year

-We have updated description of drum magazine to indicate the inner wheel is not cut-out and will be offering subsidized below-cost wheels for $25ea for any new orders moving forward

-We will be going through and responding to all correspondence regarding drum cancellations etc today, we were holding until we had answers first. Those that still want to cancel/refund still can no problem
 
Don't have one but i am curious. What was wrong with drums? Brief background or even a link to discussion thread is good.

Im thinking if the drum parts are here the shipment of Type 81s is here as well. Im really hoping I get my internals. No word yet and I have been in touch with them, politely, about them from the get go.
