Assuming I did this correctly, here is a clearer photo

Looks normal to me. Here is what mine looks like... got between 1000-2000rnds thru it.

I don't know how to put photos up so I made it my profile picture. For clarification it is a small piece broken off the end of the chamber. Approximately 1/8" missing. The bolt face doesn't mate on the face completely. I have only dumped some 700 rounds through it. Gas setting 2

DONT BE USING *** SETTING 2 *** thats only for when the gun isnt cycling and YOUR LIFE OTHERWISE DEPENDS ON IT. Setting 2 will slowly beat the gun into oblivion and increase your chances of breaking an extractor, hammer, ejector, locking lug, loosen the rear trunnion ETC ETC.

Anyone getting better than 5 moa accuracy? Wasn’t the T81 designed to be more accurate than an sks or Ak? Both of those can do 3 moa...

Some here will claim so. Despite that id say a VAST majority of Type 81SA rifle owners including me seem to be averaging 4-5moa.

Ive read the hype as well. Either the Type 81SA's are somehow less accurate then their Type 81-1 counterparts OR we've just been reading baseless Chinese propaganda.

I am thinking an SKS with AK magazine conversion and custom stock wld still be cheaper. I didn’t let that stop me from ordering one tho. 5 moa is absolute garbage for accuracy. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ian at Forgotten Weapons did a video with some Iraqi Tabuk AKs, which are based off of Yugoslov models. Of particular interest is the Tabruk Sniper variant, which, with the longer, heavier barrel and no grenade launcher is a pretty close analog for the Type 81 LMG. Ian even said he was surprised it didn't have a bipod; the fellow he was with suggested it was meant for mobile individuals, rather then fixed sniper positions. They were also speculating how they use brass ammo in the Middle East may contribute to better accuracy then the AK are usually given credit for, since they like to use surplus steel cases in States like are often used up here. Has anyone tried the LMG with good brass ammo? Anyways forum member / Youtuber Three Bar D or another crafty individual may be interested in reproducing the Tabruk sniper stock with the Type 81 LMG. Hell, maybe TI could modify the stock on some LMGs themselves, pre-install the scope rail, and call them Type 81 Canadian Sniper editions :)

Isn't an LMG supposed to just spray rounds at a wall of charging enemies? I mean, you're not sniping with the thing, right? I'm thinking more along the lines of Tom Cruise in Taps from the second-storey window lmao
