Some here will claim so. Despite that id say a VAST majority of Type 81SA rifle owners including me seem to be averaging 4-5moa.
Ive read the hype as well. Either the Type 81SA's are somehow less accurate then their Type 81-1 counterparts OR we've just been reading baseless Chinese propaganda.
Speaking on account of accuracy and references to AK accuracy. The thing is, it's incorrect to compare accuracy of AKs put together by US Bubbas with anything else. It's category of its own.
Here's the picture I got several weeks ago from my bud in Ukraine, he was asked to check if that specific AKS type 2 was good enough. It was OK. 100m, iron sights, group of 5 and group of 3. As you can see it's a decent accuracy for assault rifle. I'm not falling for absolutely stupid propaganda everyone can watch on the Kalashnikov media YouTube channel (you gotta be braindead if you fall for their "AK vs AR" comparison and how AK is superior, but that's a different topic) , anyway, AK platform in original form (as issued) has decent accuracy for such class of rifles.
As for Type 81 - again, we're comparing poorly slapped together commercial Type 81SA with original assault rifle Type 81-1? We don't have access to latter to compare. I wish we had more relaxed laws, like in Europe, where they can have converted auto. But alas...
I was checking one "relatively straight" type 81 just recently. I hear that most ppl getting 4-5 MOA, this one was not that bad. 100 yards, iron sights, in process of sighting in.
Apparently Kachin rebels consider them accurate enough to make snipers out of them
Bonus picture-challenge - " look, we can make straight rifles in the middle of the jungles, can you?"
