Not legally. Aside from an arbitrary paperwork diktat there is nothing stopping you. The government agents don't know you have it or where it is and wouldn't know if it changed hands.

You definitely cannot legally sell or use it. It was for sure on the Dec 2024 ban list. All variants.
Base rule for you: if it's semi auto, it's almost certainly banned. There's only a few left that aren't. And T81 was very much in Poly's sights.

Pretty sure lots of banned guns are still being bought and sold amongst ourselves

I think you were mistaken on the Type 81 take another look I don’t think that’s what you have ! After you look you might want to post what it is actually or have the thread deleted as the thread does not apply !
