Thanks gents, I like a nice folder but the fixed looks bettwer in my opinion. Maybe the answer is to get one of each.

now, you are talking. i generally like folders for obvious reasons but in this case, the fixed has its advantages, it can be removed and replaced by other stocks (mod required) while the folders are permanent.

When I picked up my Type 81 Folder back in 2019 I had a chance to handle both. I found that although I loved the look of the fixed, the folder made a proper cheek weld and sight alignment much easier and quicker. Havent tried an optic yet, but I imagine the fixed would be a good route to go in that scenario.

Yes ! The fixed looked bette, but I had trouble "getting down" to see the iron sights due to the stock comb

well it is really depending on the optic yu re using: on the kobra sight no problem the sight is dead on with the folder. now the primary arms acss 3x is better than a short lvpo like 1-4x24 buhsnell so it is really depending. i had a lmg and fixed ones and they were not that good for using lvpo as well so i still consider than the folder is still the best option if you like the way it is.
