Type 81 Special Edition now in stock?

Are these original type 81’s? The receiver stamping looks different and the Saftey is on the right side instead of the left on the folder.
Just curious as these look different than the 2017 models.

Like the LMGs, these are brand new production rifles piggybacked on an order to a military other then China's. If I'm not mistaken, the first batch of rifles were built of whatever various parts they had stocked over a period of years, if not decades, meaning they weren't very uniform. I suspect these will have a similar uniformity to the LMGs, since they were built as part of a larger production run. I also suspect from the beauty of the finish they are for the royal/presidential guard unit of some national leader. One can hope the emperor/regent/president/shah/raj loves them, and makes another order TI can piggyback upon

Are these kobra optics legit russian units or chinese clones? on the website the part # Kobra EKP-1S-03 for the optic when google searched pops up an airsoft site at $109.95 Canadian

If you click through 3 times to the page for the optic alone they have it listed as "Manufactured by: Axion Izhevskiy Motozavod". So yeah these would be real gen 3 Kobra's.

From my understanding, if you add optics ready model and delete the pic rail mount, you'll still get a right side safety and threaded pins. I prefer left side safety, as I'm not going to use the TI mount. I have one already on my fixed. Going to leave this one as the PLA intended.

If the folder only has remaining availability in right side safeties with threaded pins, remember there are likely people who bought the scope mount who would be happy to sell you their now surplus left safety and unthreaded pins.

thats my understanding too. luckily for us, there will be plenty of oem left side selectors after others installed their new picatinny rails.

The polls are tied between CPC/Libs... Even with a Lib minority, we're screwed given he'll get the additional bans passed with NDP/BQ support.

Maxime Bernier is the greatest thing to happen to the Liberal party. Cost the conservatives 12 seats in 2019, looks like it’s going to be much worse this year.
