To call it something it isn't classed as yet is misleading. I didn't see NR anywhere on those FRT's

Ok. It can be either NR or R. There is no difference to the lab. At the end of the day the receiver is NOT PROHIBITED, meaning it can be either NR or R depending on barrel length.

Yes, the gun type is NR, give then right barrel.

The version that went to the lab is restricted, given it's barrel.

Let's not muddy the issue. The gun is going to be available in the NR version. Just give it time.

I can't freaking wait... Type81 is the first rifle I have ever shot!!! in the 90's when I toured a Chinese prison, the rules were relaxed back then, I got to shoot the 81 with some guards...
hopefully it will be available when I'm back from Australia in a year or so.

how political prisoners you take care of? haha

I am extremely ready for this non restricted or restricted.
I wonder what the future upgrades will look like for the rifle.

True, but in layman's terms that would mean NR or Restricted pending barrel length, and I would bet you my last dollar the first shipment will be largely NR as that is what sells.

Let thay be the case but as it stands right now the only "rifle" version out in the world is in RESTRICTED length. Not talking about the LMG 20" version
