Type 81

this bent barrel thing could be it for me too... if some day I get the rifle.. and its bent.. for sure it will go back and I will be looking for my money back! Never will I wait for TI to get another back to me!

Be aware that as some guys pointed out in another thread, TI's refund policy as per their website is that they charge a 20% restocking fee. This doesn't apply to exchanges. Another guy with a bent rifle wanted to get a refund and changed his mind after knowing that.

Youza.

You also have to pay the return shipping to return a defective firearm, not a huge deal but still annoying to drop $40 HOPING the replacement rifle isn't bent or hand dremeled, otherwise I'd have to return ANOTHER rifle. 20% restocking fee for defective merchandise isn't very fair.

All that being said, if the return or returns (depending on the rifle that's sent to me) pay off and I get a good rifle I'll be thrilled and my multi-year wait will have paid off

If it was me I would try to exchange it, simply because its very unlikely they would send you another gun without checking first that its in tip-top condition.
I would also try to get them to pay for half the shipping.

I don't approve of any type of restocking fee whatsoever, so fully agree on that.

WHAT???? Why would you have to pay return shipping on something that should've never been shipped to you in the first place? If they don't inspect the rifles properly prior to sending them off to customers THE FIRST TIME, how's that THE CUSTOMER'S fault?

Amazon and a whole lot of other online businesses "get it" and never have you pay return shipping on defective out of the box merchandise. They send you a prepaid shipping label instead, all you have to spend on is tape and gas to bring it to Canada Post, which is already a pain in the ass all in itself.

A prepaid return shipping label is the least they can goddamn do for you, if they're gonna waste your time, stress and energy with returns of defective "controlled merchandise"... you already paid $35 shipping one way, after all! Damn this is p*ssing me off now. Eternal wait, still no tracking/order update and the prospect of getting a defective item + hassles about returns if it arrives all f**ked up.

Great...!

Wow, wait until you read the return policy - 20% restocking fee for all returns for any reason, and an extra 20% on to of that if they deem it "used". Clearly it's our fault for getting shipped defective guns. :(

Well if they send me a defective product... after all the BS they have given us... well i have the emails they have sent... and if they were to bill me some type of restock fee.. i will be calling consumer affairs and seeing what they have to say about this.

If I received a bent riffle I will ask for a full refund no doubt no 20%!fee of return BS or like rockport I will complain tonconsumer affairs for my 1400$ bill

just dispute it with your CC company they will side with you

I'm starting to think that the added unexplained delays and secrecy around the remaining orders are due to the fact that TI knows of the "bent rifles" issue and is trying to patch them up somehow - having a gunsmith re-rivet the trunions maybe? Straightening the rifles in some sort of a bending jig, like the type for straightening bent vehicle frames? A "big f--king hammer" (BFG) and two blocks of wood?

Who knows... but we do know there are multiple reported guns suffering from that condition, so there are probably plenty more still unreported.

I wonder what is going on here. Are they being re-boxed because of damaged during shipment. Did China send TI all the duds that didn't meet their quality control specs for their military contracts.
These kind of things can make or break a company. Would be nice for TI to weigh in on this issue of bent rifles. I don't mind the delay but this does seem to be getting a little much.

Lol I was told same, still nothing for me. Not sure if I should bail or just list it as soon as I get it. Thinking about putting the grand toward a Swiss arms

Cancelled my folder order,Waiting for a reply from TI, cue jeapordy music,Ive had enough.I have bad luck so Im not going to chance waiting for a bent rifle then go through the exchange fiasco where I have to wait until they can get another shipment in or take a 200 dollar hit for a restocking fee.Good luck guys.

At this point it sounds more and more like the thing to do literally by the hour, as shipping notices/updates/replies don't come in and keep getting postponed.

I guess tomorrow will be D-day. No shipping notices as promised + risk of bent rifles = mass cancellations.
