I agree on the folders, the T81 folder is a bit of an eyesore. VZ looks better there.
The fixed T81 looks better then the fixed VZ58's.
I would have liked the darker stocks on these, and parkerized instead of blued. Parkerizing hides the metal flaws better lol.

As a milsurp guy 100% agree on the park side of things. I find it more durable as well
 
I didn’t come across any sharp edges yet. and I don’t have any ak mags to test.

I also may have confused bbq paint for a crude park job.

I've had a fixed stock model on pre order since day 1. Since my name starts with a "Z", I expect I'm on the end of the list :(

I may order a folder when/if they become availble again--I'm thinking of making the folder into more of an AK74 tubular folder to satisfy a '74 fetish.
 
Got my Type-81 today, was no tracking information just a notification card in my mail.
Got home and gave it a quick wipe down to get rid of the excess oil then checked the bore, rifling looks nice and smooth.
Four magazines went five for five so 100% reliable so far. Seemed to be hitting to the left slightly so I grabbed my SKS sight tool (which fit perfectly) and gave it a little push. Will test again soon. Ejection was strong sending cases high and to my 1:00.
Safety is a little weird, flip it 180 degrees to switch positions.
Stripping it down was pretty easy, will be much faster the second and third times.

You get the fixed stock version? ?
 
All my other 3 folders never get used anymore. Once the cool factor wears off you tend to not use them ever again...lol...
